My work as an artist connects my journeys of history and belonging, and memories and places.

 

I have been designing inspiring, expressive, creative and traditional calligraphy and lettering art for over 40 years. I create calligraphy, lettering and art for corporate events, private commissions and exhibition artworks. My work has exhibited in regional galleries in Australia and has been published in numerous magazines, books and journals.

Following three years of extensive formal studies in the 1990’s of traditional and historic calligraphy, I have been fortunate to study with many of the world’s leading contemporary calligraphy and lettering masters, as well as noted artists and tutors of various formal and informal fine arts subjects including printmaking, bookbinding, painting, drawing, traditional Turkish marbling and encaustics.

My love of the hand written word and my deep sense of wanderlust compliments my fascination with language, art and discovery.
